Nice article on the “Secrets of Aging Well”


 

The following article written by Katie Alexander for KWQC TV6 entitled “The Secrets to Aging Well” has some excellent advice for all of us. The author interviewed several seniors and they shared some of the ways that they stay active, engaged and happy.

Here are some of their secrets:

  • It’s all about attitude. Try to find ways to make yourself happy.
  • Do new things, challenge yourself
  • stay engaged
  • keep busy, interact with other people
  • have purpose and meaning in your life
  • Walk every day
  • Walk your dog if you have one
  • Take advantage of technology,. It’s amazing how much you can get done online.
  • Try to learn new things every day
  • Start new hobbies, learn how to play new games
  • Exercise, be active
  • Swimming is great exercise for those with joint problems
