We all want advice on how to live a healthy life. Everyone gets sick or injured at one time or another. Unfortunately there is no magic formula for avoiding illness or injury or living longer.
However, John Schuman in his excellent article entitled “Keep Things Simple For A Healthy, Long Life” has some great tips that anyone can follow.
I listed some of his advice below:
- Get enough sleep.
- Move your body throughout the day.
- Eat well — a healthy assortment of foods. Mostly plants, and not too much. (An idea popularized by author Michael Pollan.)
- Interact socially. Isolation is not good for the body, soul or mind.
- Take some time to reflect on what you are grateful for.
