In case you are wondering where the name for this site comes from, it is named after a wise man named Pliny the Elder who lived thousands of years ago in ancient Rome. The correct pronunciation of “Pliny” is to say it so it rhymes with “skinny”. If you are interested in reading his “Natural History”, you can find the 37 books here.

The image is of a “triple spiral” and it is one of the oldest symbols. It can be seen carved on stones at Newgrange in Ireland which dates to 2500 B.C.
