Having a full-time or part-time job can make retirement much more rewarding and enjoyable.

Unfortunately because employers receive so many applications online, it is very difficult to get a job by only applying to jobs through websites.

  1. The best strategy is to first do research and then identify places you would like to work.
  2. Once you have identified your desired employer, do research on the company. Find out how you can help the company do a better job, sell more products or make more money.
  3. Prepare your resume and visit in person.
  4. Your goal should be to show the employer how you can help the business succeed.
  5. Do not dwell on your past experience or jobs. Instead show your prospective employer that you have the skills, knowledge and motivation to help the business succeed.
