F.D.A. Panel Considers Restricting Testosterone Drugs

F.D.A. Panel Weighs Restrictions on Testosterone Drugs

It seems that in the past only a small number of men took these drugs but now it has ballooned into a $2 billion industry. According to the F.D.A. panel the benefits of these drugs have not been proven and they may have harmful effects such as heart problems.

The National Institutes of Health is sponsoring a large trial, the T-Trial, to investigate the effects of testosterone drugs and the results will be out next year.
