This page is dedicated to providing information on smart phones for seniors.
Choosing a phone is an important decision. The most important criteria for me are the following:
- Cost – it should not be too expensive
- Usability – it should be easy to use.
- Reliability and network coverage – I depend on my phone. If there is an emergency it needs to work and have a good strong signal.
- Durability – It needs to be study enough to withstand being dropped
I’m sure you might have your own additional features that you want in a smart phone and that’s fine.
You also need to think about how you want to use the smart phone.
- Are you only going to use it for local or long distance phone calls?
- Will you be texting your friends or relatives?
- Do you want to use your phone to send email and surf the web?
- Do you want a physical keyboard?
- Are you going to use the camera on your phone a lot? Do you want to share photos from your phone with others?
- Do you want to use Twitter and Facebook with your phone?
- Do you want to use your phone for videoconferencing using things such as Google Hangouts or Skype?
Fortunately, most of the newer smart phones will do all the things I mentioned above. Now that you have thought about what you need and want in your smart phone let’s do some research.
