{"id":395,"date":"2014-09-15T11:11:08","date_gmt":"2014-09-15T11:11:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/plinylives.com\/?p=395"},"modified":"2014-09-15T11:11:08","modified_gmt":"2014-09-15T11:11:08","slug":"report-on-housing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plinylives.com\/?p=395","title":{"rendered":"Report on Housing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A report came out from the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University:<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Housing America's Older Adults\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jchs.harvard.edu\/housing-americas-older-adults-embargoed\">HOUSING AMERICA&#8217;S OLDER ADULTS\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>One interesting idea in the report is that of &#8220;Aging in Place&#8221;. Because the number of seniors is increasing so dramatically there will not be enough assisted living facilities available. Instead the CDC is promoting &#8220;Aging in Place&#8221; where a senior would live in their own home and community. Of course seniors who remain in their homes will need different levels of assistance.<\/p>\n<p>The gist of the report is that it is going to be a tremendous challenge to meet the housing needs of the baby boomer generation as they age.
